Grading Scale
Students will be graded using traditional letter grades A, B, C, etc. The grading scale has changed to reflect the traditional percentages of A (100%-90%), B (89-80%), etc. Assignment Notebooks All students will receive an assignment notebook. Your child is expected to fill out the notebook daily. The students must write down all assignments that were given for that day. If they have completed the assignment they will check it off. If the assignment has not been completed or it is an extra homework assignment, then it will not be checked off and it must be completed that evening. You need to sign your child's notebook each night indicating that you have seen the homework assignments and that your child has completed them. Homework If your child is coming home with a large amount of work, this could be an indication that they are not using their class time wisely. Please let me know and we will work together to resolve the problem. Students should read on a daily basis at home. Things to work on weekly include: Raz-Kids, Headsprout, studying spelling words, and practicing multiplication facts. If homework is not turned in the day after it is assigned I will send it home again with a “Late Assignment Letter” attached to it. |
